PRIMARY DUTIES: The part time HR Clerk provides support to the Human Resources Department in the management of worker’s compensation; safety programs; health, dental and life insurance coverage; accident reporting; employment procedures; and policy compliance. This includes but not limited to: answering the telephone; researching and compiling statistical information; performing secretarial duties; filing; maintaining participant list of coverages; assisting employees, department heads, elected officials, retirees and the public in a professional and cordial manner on a daily basis. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A High school diploma or GED is required. Over one year experience in general office operations with public contact. The ability to type 45-55 words per minute with minimal errors; must be able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing; be able to file alphabetically with minimal errors; have the ability to perform general math calculations with use of 10 key; and have experience in data entry and use of word processing programs and spreadsheet functions.
